Coral Pashmina Cashmere Scarf

  • This cashmere scarf has an interlaced pattern of coral and indigo, accented with a subtle “ikkat” motif. It is entirely hand-spun and hand-made using the finest and softest pashmina wool from Kashmir. You might never want to take it off in the cooler months. At a whopping 4 oz., it’s a perfect travel companion that easily fits into a purse or a pocket.

    technique: Pashmina Hand-Weave

The tale of this heirloom scarf begins in foothills of the Himalayas. Literally translated, pashmina means “soft gold” and we think Kashmiri pashmina, which accounts for less than 0.1% of all cashmere products globally, is the softest form of cashmere you will touch. Pashmina threads are so fine that they are individually hand-spun in a traditional loom. The threads are then separately hand-dyed in different colors, and hand-woven in a loom in the state of Kashmir by families that have been practicing the craft for generations. This scarf is made in small batches by a women-owned co-operative.
