Both ends of this 100% cotton light gray scarf are dip-dyed in progressively darker shades of Lilac to create a free-flowing expression of joy that embodies the spirit of Holi, the traditional Indian festival of colors. It is oversized so you can wear this as a shawl or a wrap. Lightweight enough for spring and summer, but with enough heft to keep you warm in the cooler months
This scarf is made using an ancient hand dip-dying process traditionally used to create vibrant turbans worn by men in Northwest India. The scarf is made in small batches in a women-owned factory and each of the exquisite thread tassels on the corners is individually handmade by homemaking women, as a part of a project to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
